About Rebecca Levy

As a creator, Rebecca seeks to help others feel less alone by making content that reflects humanity. Through both filmmaking and studio art - drawings and paintings - she explores the relationship between the mundane and the fantastical, finding beauty in both extremes. Her work emphasizes female stories of identity, particularly within the context of life in the charmingly nuanced American South, where she grew up. Rebecca aims to challenge romanticized narratives of American youth and explore industrialized in-between spaces with a fresh cinematic perspective.

Rebecca is forging her indie film career at Braveheart Entertainment, a production company whose partnership with Universal’s Assembly Studios is described by Georgia Entertainment as, “building opportunity, amplifying new voices, and redefining what TV and filmmaking can achieve in the South.” Working alongside producers TY Walker and Joy Peterson, Rebecca helped produce Beneath the Soil, a feature documentary that recently previewed at the 2026 African American Film Festival.

Rebecca’s 2025 short film Still Life won Best Georgia Film at the Athens International Film Festival and the Georgia Short Film Jury Award at the Rome International Film Festival. Her music videos Eyes and Pithy, both made in collaboration with local Atlanta artists, have also been featured at the Atlanta Film Society’s “Locals Only” showcase, the Athens Film Festival, and the Georgia Communication Association.

With a BA from the University of Georgia’s Entertainment and Media Studies program, Rebecca has balanced creative filmmaking with cross-platform work in digital media to understand the future of storytelling through a global and digital lens. Her social media and digital design work includes collaborations with the Entertainment Industry Foundation, Roybal Film & TV Magnet, Tallfellow Publishing, and director Danny Farber. Throughout her time as a student, Rebecca studied abroad at the Cannes Film Festival and completed internships with United Talent Agency, Hunting Lane Films, the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, and the Peabody Awards.
